a two-part
sound work at Crystal Palace Station and a local garden centre.
Contact
recordings taken from rail journeys were edited and played from
a tiny sound source hidden in the plant displays at the garden centre.
The complementary piece played recordings of the ocean, crickets,
and rain over the public address at the station with the ‘natural’
sounds edited in such a way that resembled static or clatter, with
a rhythm recognisably that of an industrial systems. |
