Kilnertography

Extending approaches such as those developed in the The Zero Dollar Laptop manifesto, Kilnertography experiments with low cost, discarded technology. The low impact, low tech devices are deployed in the sea, by a swimmer or from the Contingency Research Platform. This version is not intended for replication.

The project involved putting a discarded / cheap camera into a pickle jar.

Balast and padding were made to hold the camera still and adjust its bouyancy. Cut and shaped plastic bottles and air drying clay were helpful.

 

 

 

 

 

 

  

 

Caution: Do not take breakable glass devices into the water yourself.
