A research and development residency

A project to explore the feasibility of an artist in residence programme for the Tall Ships Race 2011 to take place on board The Swan, a herring drifter built in 1900. The resultant work, presented as a publication, considers the creative potential of such a residency by addressing the interdependent social, environmental and personal realms that animate the seas through which the Swan travels and the shores from which she takes her crew and history.
